Overview:
We are actively seeking a qualified Senior IT Systems Architect to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will play a pivotal part in defining technical standards and design specifications for a specialized technical domain. Collaborating seamlessly with both U.S. and Japanese teams, you will synthesize requirements and contribute to the development of cutting-edge systems. As a creative problem-solver, you will also assist in formulating and enhancing policies and procedures. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the functional area, operate independently, and engage effectively with peer-level professionals. Furthermore, there may be an opportunity to provide valuable input into establishing annual objectives for the function.
This is a full-time position that offers a hybrid work schedule. You will be required to be in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week unless specific business needs necessitate in-office attendance on other days. Please note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may be subject to change based on evolving business needs.
Responsibilities:
- As a valued team member of our IT division, you will spearhead various operational tasks, including but not limited to:
- Management
- System monitoring
- Inquiry correspondence
- System operation
- Environment management
- Defect correspondence
- Enhancement
- Configuration management
- In the event of system failures, you will promptly analyze their impact, provide provisional responses, and, if necessary, determine the need for permanent solutions, giving instructions to the development team.
- Collaborate with another infrastructure team to address infrastructure failures.
- Engage with users to gather enhancement requirements, prepare specifications, and provide instructions to the development team.
- Work collaboratively with the Japanese offshore team, particularly during night operations on weekdays.
- Assume responsibility for the operational design, implementation, configuration, and management of information systems supporting the organization's enterprise infrastructure.
- Analyze system requirements, assess the needs of functional areas within the ERP system, and translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Define system architecture, including server infrastructure, capacity planning, storage requirements, and networking protocols.
- Ensure that architecture project roll-outs meet security standards and seamlessly integrate with existing applications.
- Tackle complex technical and business matters.
- Educate colleagues on workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by ERP modules.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, with a minimum of 7 years of related experience.
- Sales management experience is highly preferred.
- Financial/Accounting experience is a valuable asset.
- Thorough hands-on experience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c databases, SQL, and PL/SQL.
